Who operates the service

What we process

Targets you enter, request metadata, client IP, user-agent hash, diagnostic results, errors, rate-limit events, cookies for interface preferences, and contact-form messages.

Retention

Operational admin events are retained for about 30 days. Short-lived caches may keep repeated diagnostic results for minutes. Contact messages are kept as long as needed to respond and maintain service records.

1. Data you provide

When you run a tool, you may enter a domain, IP address, URL, host, port range, e-mail address, or similar diagnostic target. Net Utils uses this input only to perform the requested check and display results.

Some tools query third-party or public infrastructure, such as DNS resolvers, DNSBL providers, WHOIS sources, certificate endpoints, and Globalping probes.

2. Automatically collected data

Like most websites, we receive technical request data: IP address, browser user agent, URL, referrer when supplied, timestamps, response status, and security/rate-limit signals. We use this for operation, abuse prevention, diagnostics, and aggregate service quality.

The protected NetUtils admin dashboard stores the full client IP and the exact diagnostic target for operational troubleshooting and abuse prevention. These events are retained for about 30 days and are not publicly accessible.

3. Cookies and local storage

We use technical cookies and browser storage to remember interface settings such as language, theme, menu state, and rating state. These are not used for cross-site advertising tracking.

4. How we use data

  • to run requested diagnostics and show results;
  • to prevent abuse, spam, excessive automated traffic, and unsafe scanning;
  • to maintain logs, metrics, and service health dashboards;
  • to respond to contact requests and improve tool quality.

5. Sharing and processors

We do not sell diagnostic inputs. To provide the service, data may be processed by hosting, security, DNS, measurement, e-mail, analytics/metrics, or infrastructure providers. Public diagnostic targets may necessarily be sent to external systems required for the check.

6. Security

We use HTTPS, server-side access controls, firewall rules, rate limits, and admin authentication. No internet service can guarantee perfect security, but we keep the collected data limited and operationally scoped.
